Our rendition of the famous poem, by the Head Elf of the Jlevi StreetWerks Order Operations department!
'Twas the week before Christmas, when all through the shop
Every creature was stirring, from bottom to top;
The shelves stocked with care,
Though they soon would be bare;
The administrators all warm in their steads,
While visions of Bimmers revved in their heads;
And Lynn in her berka, and Jon in his cap,
Managed the warehouse in the cold weather snap,
When out on the forum there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our laptops to explore the matter.
Away to the keyboard Nick flew like a flash,
Tore open the homepage and posted a dash,
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to boot lids below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a truckload of DEPO, carried forth by eight wheels,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment I must call in Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Kenny! now, Ali ! now, Lynn and Jon!
Come on everyone no time to sit down!
To the top of the warehouse! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
As boxes that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, no one stands by,
So up to the pallet racks the coursers they flew,
With the courier trucks full of toys, maybe St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the bay door
The prancing and pawing of drivers galore.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the isle came Nick with a determined bound.
He was dressed all in North Face, from his head to his feet,
And his fingers all worn from typing so fleet;
A bundle of mods he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a salesman unwrapping his pack.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave all to know there was nothing to dread;
The staff spoke not a word, but went straight to their work,
And filled all the orders; then turned with a jerk,
They worked up a sweat, though it nearly froze,
And giving a nod, up the to the trucks the packages rose;
Nick sprang to his Über One, with his silver Welt bottle,
And away they all flew like with a full open throttle..
But we heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
