On newer model cars, a Tire Pressure Monitor System uses electronic sensors to notify the car of a deflated tire. When purchasing new wheels, you can strip the sensors from your OEM wheels by removing the tires, or, you can sell those old sensors to the future owner of your wheels, and purchase new ones.
